The Tour of Britain will further add to Warrington’s rich sporting heritage when it heads there in September, marking the first time that the town will host the UK’s leading cycle race. Even though it started out as a five-stage event, recent editions of the cycling Tour of Britain have been held as an eight-stage event. Now, this number will be increased to nine for the Tour of Britain 2020.
